Walkerville Farmer’s Market

We are very excited to invite you to the opening of the Walkerville Farmers Market on Saturday 4th September.  The variety and quality of the stalls on the day will ensure something of interest for everyone. We also have a number of entertaining events and kids activities scheduled.  There is also a food court with delicious and varied eats which you can enjoy with some wine or beer if you choose.  The official opening of the market will be at 9.00 am with the opening ceremony being performed by Mrs Walker (of the original Walker family from which Walkerville derives its name) as well as the mayor, Mr. Timothy Nast.  This is a day not to be missed.

Senior Citizen’s Club

Tuesday 14th September at the Walkerville Showgrounds from 10am onwards.  Join us and make new friends, play bingo and cards.  Every month we have a different theme and special pensioner’s prices for lunch.  Tea & biscuits served.  We have a lot of fun so if you have an elderly person living with you or are a senior citizen come along and join in.  Call Janet Newton for more information 083 256 2859

Thorntree Conservancy’s Annual Country Fair

Sunday 7th November - Thorntree Conservancy will be hosting their Annual Country Fair at the Walkerville Showground's.  Stalls R100 - Contact Louise - 083 299 0958 or louiseb@fenya.co.za.

Walkerville Sector Police Meeting

First Wednesday of every month at the Walkerville Showgrounds @ 7pm. Meet with representative from the suburbs of Walkerville & De Deur Police Station to work together to fight against crime. Contact Rob Jones on 082 410 5633 www.communitypolice.co.za

Kliprivier Police Forum Meeting

First Thursday of every month at the Kliprivier Police Station @ 6pm. Meet with representative from the area & Kliprivier Police Station to work together to fight against crime. Contact Rob Jones on 082 410 5633

Lady's Coffee Club

Meets on the first Tuesday of every month.  Call Heather on 083 525 2773 for details.

Line Dance Classes

Every Thursday evening at the Walkerville Showgrounds @ 7pm. Keep fit and have fun. Contact Jan on 083 256 2859 or Val on 082 856 4428.  Men are very welcome to join, or come along and play pool while the ladies work out.

Recycling - Bottle Banks

We have two glass recycling banks at the Walkerville Showgrounds where you are welcome to drop off all used glass bottles and jars.
