Drumblade Conservancy’s Suikerbosrand Hike

Saturday 13th March.  The “Cheetah Trail” is a fairly easy walk and suitable for children or people who don’t often hike.  Bring along comfortable shoes, a sun hat & sunscreen, a water bottle and some snacks.  We will meet in the parking lot at Suikerbosrand @ 8.30.  Please RSVP to Di 079 895 4121 if you will be joining us.  Adults R20, children R10 and cars R10

 

Planting Season – 20th March.  Have you joined yet?  Has your company joined?  A minute is all it takes, then diarise the 20th March 2010 and on that day get out in the garden and plant something organic!

  

 

 

Earth Hour

Saturday 27th March @ 8.30pm.  Join millions of people all around the world and switch of all your lights for one hour (yes, Dad can leave the TV on if he has to)

Speedway Racing

28 March – 1st SSRC Regional.  Races start at 13h00.  Entry at the gate is R20 per person, children under 12 are free.  Plenty of secure parking.  Restaurant & Pub onsite, as well as take-away outlet for drinks & food (please note the premises are licensed!)

Calling all Disciples to a Last Supper

In remembrance of our Lord Jesus, on the anniversary of His death.  An order of service, based on the Passover feast as amended by our Lord Jesus, will be provided when you reserve your place amongst 30 others at the table (at no charge) at the Dogon Show Venue, Grasmere Road, at 19h00 Friday 2 April.  Contact Dave Parkinson on 087 751 9069 or e-mail parkinson @net1.co.za.

Tour de ....

Saturday 1st May.  Tickets are on sale at Centerbury Country Restuarant, Deep South Pub, Fine & Country, Johnny Walker, Magic's Pub, Serendipity Book Exchange and Ticino's. Interesting new route being planned this year.  Incentives for local schools to participate and raise funds for themselves! Fabulous new MC will lead you from venue to venue. Entry still R20 per person.  Enter a float - it can be a horse drawn buggy, a tractor, a trailer, a bakkie, a truck - whatever takes your fancy!  Check out TDW for details which will be updated as arrangements are finalised.

Recycling - Bottle Banks

We have two glass recycling banks at the Walkerville Showgrounds where you are welcome to drop off all used glass bottles and jars.
