Adonai Care Centre & Feeding Scheme – based in the Talberic Shopping Centre, they provide a safe place for children to go to after school. The Hollard Foundation donates groceries so that every child gets a cooked lunch and then, with the help of volunteers they do homework and other learning activities. Adonai needs volunteers to help with english, math and bible study lessons for two hours a week (High School students are also very welcome to volunteer). DeDeur Perimed - a home for severe Alzheimer's patients.We currently have beds available for frail care and also people whom can no longer cope on their own. We provide 24 hour nursing care, balanced meals to dietary requirements. We also have a doctor on call 24 hours a day. Emthonjeni AIDS Centre - Emthonjeni has been running for many years and is currently providing excellent health care to hundreds of patients in the squatter area Sweetwaters in Walkerville North. Currently the centre feeds 30 patients from Monday to Friday at the centre. They also provide monthly food parcels to 80 ‘home-care’ patients many of whom are bedridden. There is an HIV testing and counselling service as well as a support group for people living with HIV/AIDS. Last year habitat for humanity built ten houses to accommodate children who have been orphaned by AIDS.
